BTSA

There is something terrible about taking a "day off" to sit in your house and type teacher paperwork for the state. State of California, do you really want to "induct" me as a teacher (5 years too late)? Send me to get a massage. Buy me dinner. Or, give me credit for the induction program I ALREADY did in Utah. It will help me be a better professional, give me the capacity to care more about my students, and save you cash.

BTSA is the most worthless program I have ever completed.

Boo on BTSA.
However, it is the only time I have earned college credit for free. I doubt that will ever happen again.

I did a year in BTSA and they were going to waive the second year if I completed a portfolio and sent it in to the district.

It was so compelling that I let my credential expire rather than complete and send it in to them.

I wish I thought the program had value.

But you should tell them you want a one year instead of two year program.
